conditional sentences

 Conditional Sentences

In grammar, conditional sentences are sentences discussing factual implications or hypothetycal situations and their consequences.

Conditional Tense (Type 1)
If Clause: Simple present tense (S+V1+O)/(S+Tobe+N/Adj)
Main Clause: Simple future tense  (S+Will+V1)
Example:
If I am rich, i will buy a new motorcycle.
If  I go to the cinema, I will watch an interesting film.

Conditional Tense (Type 2)
If Clause: Simple Past Tense (S+V2+O)/(S+Tobe+N/Adj)
Main Clause: Simple Future Tense (S+Would+V1)
Example:
If I came home earlier, I would prepare dinner.
(I am not come home earlier, so i will not prepare dinner).
If i were you, i would like him.
(I am not you, so i dont like him).

Conditional Tense (Type 3)
If Clause: Past Perfect Tense (S+Had+V3)
Main Clause: Past Future Perfect (S+Would/Could/Should+Have+V3)
Example:
If i had worked hard, i would have successfull in the job
(But i didnt work hard, and i didnt successfull in the job)
If i had spoken  more slowly, Dina would have understood me.
(But i didnt speak more slowly, and Dina didnt understood me).
